Open enrollment for all professional activities Also during Medimex 2014 there will be activities reserved to exhibitors and registered operators (badge holders). The program of professional meetings offered is rich: a part from the face to face (s) speed meeting, divided into three sessions during the fair, Mentoring and Pitch Session are confirmed as two types of professional meeting launched during the last edition. Among the face-to-face (s) you cannot miss the appointments with representatives of major international booking agencies: Bertus de Blaauw, representative of Mojo (Netherlands), Christian Bernhardt of The Agency Group (USA), Daniel Alba Ochoa of Sonde 3 Producciones (Spain) and Bernard Batzen of Azimuth (France) For what concerns ELECTRONIC and INDIE/ROCK music we will have the pleasure of hosting Violaine Didier, in charge of programming the festival Les Nuites Sonores (France), Thomas Heher, director of Waves Festival (Austria), Evelyn Sieber, in charge of showcase for the Reeperbahn (Germany), the largest German festival and the Italians Marco Ligurgo of Robot Festival, Dino Lupelli of Elita Design Week Festival and Stefano Zurlo of Goodfellas, record label and exclusive distributor of Italian and international independent labels. For JAZZ music there will be Frank Bolder, artistic director of the North Sea Jazz (Netherlands), Benjamin Tanguy, head of programming at Jazz à Vienne (France), Victor Kye, deputy director of Jarasum Jazz International Festival (South Korea), Zoheir Bouzid Festival director of Dimajazz (Algeria) and the referents of the Apulian festival network Puglia Jazz Network, Koblan Amissah and Gianni Buttiglione. For WORLD music the appointment is with Benoit Thiebergien, artistic director of the festival Détours de Babel (France), which also hosts many projects of contemporary music, Sergio Torsello of La Notte della Taranta, the artistic director of the Festival International de la musique Diwane (Algeria) and David Ibáñez, artistic director of Fira Mediterrania of Manresa (Spain). For FESTIVAL MULTI-GENRE are scheduled meetings with Marie Sabot of We love Green (Paris, France), a festival dedicated to pop, world and electronic music, born on strict criteria of eco-compatibility with the environment, Natasha Padabed, responsible for the programming of the Skif (Russia), a festival dedicated to contemporary music, as well as festivals of Electro-Mechanica and Ethnomechanica (Russia), Minna Huuskonen the Helsinki Festival/Festival Tent Huvila (Finland) and Diana Glusberg, artistic director of Niceto Club (Argentina), one of the most prestigious concert halls and clubs of Buenos Aires. For the ARCI NETWORK will be attending the Carroponte with Emanuele Patti, Villa Ada – Roma incontra il mondo with Andrea Marziano and Arti Vive Festival with Mirco Pedretti. The Medimex also confirms its attention to OVERSEAS MARKET: along with the return of Stacey Wilhelm, programmer of SXSW in Austin (USA), one of the main USA Showcase/Festival/Convention dedicated to all genres of music today, we will welcome the representatives of the most interesting musical realities in Asia: from Korea there will be Min Kim of Sonic Islands agency that, among other things, produces the Ulsan World Music Festival and the Asian Pacific Music Meeting, and from China there will be Pierre Alexandre Blanc, director of Dongdong Festival in Beijing and representative of the agency Kaiguan Culture. Three MENTORING appointments, round tables for a maximum of ten participants, are dedicated to the knowledge of the major international markets - the USA and the Asian - and their strategies . The protagonist of the PITCH SESSION, dedicated to the theme of the music market for advertising, film and interactive media, will be Tracks & Fields: the International Agency Music Sync that has developed a unique technology for searching creative music and, thanks to it, record labels, publishers and artists meet the demands of international customers. Christian Mix-Linzer and Eloisa D'Angelo, CEO and music scout of the agency, will give to the operators who will have previously created their own account and uploaded their music files on the website tracksandfields.com, direct feedback on their music, in terms of the possibility of use in advertising and film. To participate at the meetings, which will be English, you have to be a badge holder and complete the appropriate form with the request for participation that you find in the reserved area of the website www.medimex.it. Artistic Research Residency IRCAM 2016: open call For the 6th edition of Artistic Research Residency, IRCAM - guest of Medimex 2014 - invites artists and all professionals in audio and music (instrument builders, sound sculptures, sound designers, etc.), to submit artistic projects on novel and unexplored paradigms requiring collaborations with IRCAM research. The program is open to all persons, regardless of age or nationality, who wish to carry out experimental research using IRCAM facilities and e xtensive research environment. An international panel of experts including researchers, composers, computer musicians, and artists will evaluate each application. Upon nomination, each candidate will be granted a residency at IRCAM during a specific period (three or six months) in 2016. Applicants can submit their material upon creation of an account on the website. The deadline for application is October 30th 2014 (midnight Paris time). An international panel of experts will evaluate all applications and final results will be announced in January 2015. In special cases, a scientific committee organized by IRCAM and partners may interview the candidates. Evaluation is based on the project's novelty and collaborative aspects, and the holder's prior experience and ability to undertake the proposed project. Residenza Artistica IRCAM 2016: aperto il bando L’ Ircam, tra gli ospiti della quarta edizione del Medimex, in occasione della sesta edizione della Residenza di Ricerca Artistica invita compositori e artisti e tutti i professionisti del suono (liutai, sound designer) a proporre progetti artistici sperimentali che possano essere sviluppati in collaborazione con il dipartimento ricerca Ircam. Il bando &egrav e; rivolta ad artisti internazionali, indipendentemente dalla loro età o nazionalità, che desiderano portare avanti delle ricerche sperimentali utilizzando la conoscenza nel campo della ricerca dell’Ircam e dei suoi partner. Un panel internazionale di esperti, composto da ricercatori, compositori, musicisti e artisti nel campo digitale, valuteranno le varie proposte. Ad ognuno dei candidati selezionati verrà attribuita una residenza della durata da 3 a 6 mesi ne corso del 2016 e un borsa di studio dell’importo di 1.200€ al mese (per coprire le loro spese di soggiorno in Francia).
